Revelation is a full-featured and secure password manager for the GNOME 2 desktop. It aims to be user-friendly and HIG-compliant, and it is tightly integrated with GNOME. It has several account types which can be grouped in folders, searched, and opened in external applications. It can both test and generate passwords. Accounts are stored in an encrypted file which can be accessed remotely via SSH, FTP, HTTP, WebDAV, and more. It can import and export data files for Password Safe, GPass, Figaro's Password Manager, and others.

Is there a specifc extension to be used while naming the revelation files in order to avoid selecting "All files" when opening a file ?

I'm sorry Revelation didn't work reliably for you. However, I cannot fix these problems unless they are reported. If you would please give a more detailed description of the problems in the bug tracking system on the website, I would be more than happy to look into it. Please include the version of Python, gtk and pygtk you are using.
Thanks

Stability is a must..
for a password manager.
I used revelation for a while and it worked fine.
The interface is cute and easy to use.
Then it started to crash (seg fault) and was not
usable.
Fortunately i had previously exported most of my
passwords to a format usable by Figaro Password
Manager, wich one is not so nice but more reliable.

I've added it, and linked it to your listing by a dependency.

Sorry, I've added dependencies now. You also need gnome-python and pycrypto - pycrypto isn't in freshmeat, so I couldn't add a dependency on it. It's available from www.amk.ca/python/code...
