Joomla!

Joomla! is an award-winning Web-based content management system. It provides for split front end content access and backend administrator access. Group-based access control allows for different levels of system control for both the site and the administrator. The Joomla! framework allows for extension by installable components (applications), modules (template blocks), languages, templates, and mambots (plugins that enhance system functions).

    Duplicate Content in Joomla
Please be sure to note that if you use an SEF url creator such as JoomSEF you will create duplicate content issues.

I have all SEF urls after using JoomSEF however the older default Joomla SEF urls are still indexed... for example content/view/5/5

I am working hard to eliminate this issue and will have a totally SEF Joomla install once this is corrected.

    Cheers,

    Justin

    Supplemental Index Results
If you run Joomla on large websites you will deal a lot with Supplemental Index Results in Google, especially if you change the structure of the site after some time of running it.

    Joomla is pretty cool
Joomla is a pretty robust cms. I think its harder for new cms users than other content management systems.

Plus it still comes with a lot of tables in the layout.

    Joomla was mambo
known as one of the best cms available.

the australian company miro holds the rights on the name mambo.

after founding the mambo foundation, influence and control was taken away from mambo developers and users.

developers went away and foundet joomla, a new open source cms project based on mambo.

->an open source community still has the power to fight big companys.
