Tivoli has released a client that allows people to backup their linux systems to adsm servers. This package comes with the full version 3.7.2 client, X-Windows and console backup/restore clients, and the adsm administrative command line client. The API library and the WEB-Client is also included.

Not a proper unix application
It sucks that this is not a proper unix application, where you can easily run the scheduler in the background and not care about it...
Instead you need to build your own start script using hacks such as nohup.
Also there are no packages available for important server distributions such as Debian. It feels much like they don't care about unix users, which is odd for IBM...
In short, it sucks.

Earlier release works quite well.
A couple of bugs, in the earlier release, but no show stoppers that i'm aware of. I'll definitely give this one a go.
A Linux based server's on my wish list though. Also client for other Linux platforms: PPC, Alpha, MIPS, ARM.
